YOUR MILANESE GOURMET EXPERIENCE
We start our gourmet experience right in the center of Milan with a stop by Peck, a historical deli, a typology of store known in Italian as ‘gastronomia’, where the best Italian specialties are in display: from Alba truffles to porcini mushrooms, from culatello salami to baby artichokes. An important selection of wines will contribute to make our first stop a memorable one!
Our Milanese gourmet experience continues along the elegant and peaceful Corso Garibaldi and into the sophisticated Brera District, where boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and open-air cafes are the protagonists.
The atmosphere is pulsating, the joy of living is in the air: relax, slow down and savor this pleasant side of Milan!
We sit down at ‘La Prosciutteria’, a romantic, easygoing, cheerful, vintage style ‘trattoria’ that will tempt us with its fantastic, rich and delicious assorted dishes and its mouthwatering paninis!
A huge variety of cured meat, cheese, vegetables, combined with fruit, sauces and excellent bread, and accompanied by an interesting selection of wines and beers! Simple but so good! The ambiance is young, the décor something in between nostalgic and traditional.
Our Milanese gourmet discovery will then head to Eataly, modern gourmet market located in the vibrant and trendy Corso Como district. Here you can see how Pasta, Ravioli and bread are made by an important local Eataly Partner. You’ll hear about Eataly philosophy and about Farinetti’s company’s development all over the world. Eat, shop and learn!
Eataly Milan is definitely “glocal”, both focused on regional specialties and national delis in order to support small producers who cannot supply major retailers and display a large variety of products as well. Overtime the attention to customers’ needs has greatly increased, addressed to habitual users and those who are looking for something special or foreigners on a trip to Italy.
At certain times of the day you can also see how mozzarella, burrata, and chocolate are made, the classes are designed for school groups as well as independent visitors.
Half of the first floor is dedicated to a wide range of eateries, from pizza “alla pala” (take away slice) to the fish dishes, the steak house, the vegetarian trattoria, and the traditional “pasta” corner. All of them are open at lunch and dinner until midnight.
You will be able to ‘eat Italy’, thanks to a tasting journey through the fantastic world of Italian regional cuisines. The variety of flavors, smells and colors will mesmerize your senses and your passion for Italy will grow! You’ll decide to come back to taste more!
